How Do You Make Money on The Internet?

I decided to add this post after numerous people asked me to explain exactly how they can make money online.

Here I will give you a breakdown of the different methods I know of:

  1. Affiliate Marketing – With Affiliate marketing you promote other peoples products. The commision you recieve can be anything from $0.99 to $5000 or even higher. This is the method I am describing in this blog.
  2. CPA Marketing – With this type of marketing you get paid as soon as someone completes the offer. Fill in the survey or submit their email adress.
  3. Create your own product and sell it throught affiliate networks like Clickbank.
  4. Deliver a service online – You can join programs where you become someone’s virual PA, typist, programmer, the list is endless.
  5. You can buy and sell products on auction sites – This is the starting point for most people, but it takes a lot of work because you need to recieve and ship products continiously.
  6. MLM Marketing – You will find a LOT of MLM companies out there. Many old and many new. Try to do a bit of research on the company before you join. I have bumped my head a few times.

There are a lot more possibilities out there if you search a bit, but I suggest you start with the basics like I teach you on my site.

Linkbuilding – How to get ranked in Google

The 2 most important off page factors that google uses to determine your Page Rank are: Domain Age and Backlinks.

Domain Age is sometimes difficult to get right. Especially if your page is set up for some obscure niche. You can go to www.AgedDomains.com and search to see if you can find a domain that will fit your niche, it will certainly help with getting ranked. But sometimes you cannot get a aged domain name so you need to build :

Backlinks.

Backlinks are links from sites linking to your own. You can build backlinks by submitting articles to article directories, leaving comment on high ranking sites or by contacting other sites and asking if they are interested in a link exchange with you.

The easy way to do this is to use Trafficbug and BruteForce EVOII. 

Trafficbug will submit your site to more the 1000 directories, 138 search engines, to RSS derectories and to 43 social Bookmarking sites.

BruteForce EvoII will create and submit links to the top RSS agregators. Create and link minisites to your main blog and build up to 70 links from high Page rank sites.

If you are thinking of building more than 10 sites, you can start by joining TrafficBug – It is a great tool, but it takes a while to see results in the search engines.

If you are planning to work from home and you are going to build a network of sites to generate an income for you. Join BF EVOII as well. It is expensive but it is a GREAT, PHENOMINAL, EXCELLENT piece of software.

Word Press Direct – The Easiest Way to Build A Website

At this stage you have done the following:

  1. Found a product at ClickBank.Com
  2. Done your Keyword Research with Market Samurai
  3. Searched Domainsbot.com for a Domain Name
  4. Opened a Hosting account at Hostgator
  5. Waited 24 – 48 Hours for your site to show up on the internet
Your next step is to set up your site and to place your first blog.
For this we will use Wordpress Direct.  
In the old days you would have had to design your site, install the neccesary software, upload the software, optimize your site, test your site, correct errors, upload again, test again, and if you decide to chahge something later – you start from scratch.

Pick your theme
Click on Install Website Instantly
Follow the video to fill in the next page.

Domain Name Registration & Hosting

Here is the first place that you will have to spend some money. You can do your keyword research for free but I strongly sugest that you get a good hosting acount and that you register a proper domain name. You can get free hosting and Domain Name registration, but you will run into some proplems. Your site is out of your control and it may be down when you need it most.

The best hosting company that I have found so far is www.HostGator.com. Their prices aren’t to high (and they currently have a special running). You get everuthing you need and more. Unlimmeted site hosting, Unlimited Bandwith, Email acount for each site, and the list just goes on.

HostGator will even register your Domain for you. And their support team is friendly and quick to respond to any problems you may have.

To register your Domain and sign up to HostGator, you can click on any of the hotlinks on this post. Click on the Web Hosting tab and pick the Baby Plan. On the Hatchling you have a limited amount of sites and on the Business plan you will be paying for services you will NEVER use.

Building and running a Website

It took me a while to start building my own website and now I am sorry I didn’t start earlier.

A lot of people (including me) think that you need to be a web programmer or a computer guru to build a website. The truth is taht ANYBODY can do it with the tools that are availible today. In my next few blog posts I will guide you through the prosess step by step. 

I will post videos on youtube that will be linked to my site and as I get time I will do a walkthrough of every step that I take to Get my site completed.

All the products that I recomend on my site is used by me personally and I will get a commision if you join them through my link. However, since I will be giving you information that others ask $150 and up for, I think it is a fair trade.

The basics of setting up a website is the following:

Products/Keywords – You need to know what you want to sell or promote on your website and what words describe it best.

Domain name – You will need to have a domain name that has your keywords in it.

Hosting – You need a hosting account where your wensite will be hosted. Affordable but relaible.

Website Building Tool – The best way to set up your site is to use a template of other successfull sites, Blogs work best

Building links to Your site – The best way to get ranked in Google is to build links to your site.

Getting help from successfull people – Sometimes you need a little help to get going.

Keyword Research And picking your Domain Name

Acording to me this is the most difficult part of building your website. Finding a product to promote is not that difficult. You can simply go to www.ClickBank.com. Look for a product that you would like to sell and join for free to promote the product.

Now you need to start looking for keywords that will be used to build your site and promote the product. The words you pick will have a HUGE influende on your ranking in Google so you need to do some research here. You must find words that are searched for at least 80 times per day and where you have less than 30 000 competing websites. The quickest way to see your competition is to type the word you are researching in ” ”  Eg. “Video Camera” . This will show you if your keyword can be used.

Search through google and youtube for more specific ways of doing this manually – I prefer to do it the easy way: Market Samurai!!

Market Samurai is the ultimate tool to use when doing keyword research. Not only can you see the basic competition for the keywords you can also look at the competition matrix wich shows you the top 10 websites you will be competing against. So you will know exactly what you are getting into. They also have a incredible supply of training material once you join them, and ther support team is great.

I really recommend that you purchase Market Samurai – It will make your life so much easier.

One you have found your keywords and your product, you need to start looking for a Domain Name. You should preferably have your main keywords in your Domain Name. The best place that I have found to check for a Domain Name is www.Domainsbot.com. Here you can enter your keywords and then the site will generate domain names for you. Browse through the names that are availible and pick the one you like best. If possible get a name with a .com .org or .net extension. Do not buy the name here. In my next post I will show you the hosting account that I have and they will register your domain for you.
